Aaron Coray, DO, Associate Program Director

Born and raised in rural Utah, I developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors while exploring the Rocky Mountains and Utah's National Parks. I earned a B.S. in Biology from Utah Valley University before attending medical school at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. My residency training was completed at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program, and following residency, I worked part-time as faculty while doing ER work, later transitioning to a full-time faculty role.

Family Medicine attracted me because of its variety — from diverse patient populations and medical conditions to the ability to treat entire families. My current role is a blend of inpatient hospital medicine, obstetric call, and outpatient clinic, where I also enjoy teaching various procedures. As someone who's naturally competitive, I started a "stair challenge" at the hospital in 2019 (5 ½ stories)—so far, only two residents have beaten me. If you’re ever rounding with me, trust me, “we will take the stairs.”

My clinical interests include osteopathic manipulation, obstetrics, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), medical procedures, and insulin resistance.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Kristina, and our six children: Eli, Nathan, Paige, Miles, Holden, and Asher. I also love basketball, volleyball, ping-pong, hiking, running 5ks, reading, and watching anime with my teenagers.
