Patrick Krach, MD
Howdy! I’m happy to be back in the Fort to continue my medical education at FWMEP. I was born and raised here and am excited to call Fort Wayne home again. I attended the University of Notre Dame for my undergraduate education, where I majored in Biological Sciences with a minor in Theology. After undergrad, I attended Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis for my medical education. At IU, I founded IU’s student section of the Catholic Medical Association, and was also involved in planning many wellness activities for my classmates including organizing and participating in our many intramural sports teams.
I have many interests in family medicine, including sports medicine, obstetrics, and medical ethics, and I quickly learned during my interview day that Fort Wayne provided the perfect place to explore them all in an unopposed residency setting in a city with a thriving medical community. Not only did the program receive great reviews from my older sister, but also, the people in the program really set it apart. After meeting with caring staff and many dedicated residents multiple times during interview season, I was convinced that this was the right fit for me.
In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time in the wilderness, backpacking and fly-fishing, and have visited half of our Great Nation’s National Parks. When I can’t get away for a grand adventure, I enjoy staying active by playing volleyball and soccer, weight-lifting, bike-riding, and water-skiing. When I can’t be outside, you can find me painting, baking, and watching Notre Dame Football. Go Irish!
