Madeline Vandecappelle, MD
Hey there! My name is Madeline Vandecappelle and I was born and raised in a small town 30 minutes south of Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 2014, I graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Genomics and Molecular Genetics (Go Green!) Following graduation, I moved to the Island of Dominica to start my medical school journey at Ross University School of Medicine. Shortly after finishing my medical school rotations in Chicago I moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana with my husband.
Since living in Fort Wayne I have come to love the activities & experiences this city offers, while still maintaining a small town feel. I look forward to serving the Fort Wayne community and enhancing the patient experience through practice based medicine and relationship centered care. I am particularly interested in Women’s Health, Obstetrics, Genetic Counseling and Psychiatry. With these interests in mind FWMEP was an easy choice for me. FWMEP offered me a program that was unopposed, dually accredited and community based. Additionally, FWMEP will provide me with the educational resources tailored to my specific interests.
Outside of medicine I am an avid baker, specifically cake baking and decorating. Additional interests of mine include running, hiking, downhill skiing, reading, gardening and interior design. If you see me around Fort Wayne, you will likely find me walking my dog Ebba with my husband Rene while visiting the local cafes/bakeries.
