John Tan, MD
Hello! My name is Chung Ning Tan but I go by John. I was born in Taiwan and grew up in Indonesia. I moved to Indiana when I was 18 for undergraduate studies and attended Huntington University to receive my B.A. in Biology. After college, I married the love of my life, Megan. Then I started working at Lutheran ER for 2 years. It was there that I solidified by desire to become a physician. I attended Indiana University School of Medicine and was enrolled in the Rural Health track in Terre Haute for 4 years.
The past four years went by fast. During this time, we welcomed a new addition to our family, Elias, who brings us so much joy. We are so excited that we are coming back to Fort Wayne as a family, a place that was like a home to us already. I chose Fort Wayne because I wanted to pursue full-spectrum training that will prepare me to go anywhere in the world and serve. It truly is such a privilege to be trained at the place where I first embarked on this journey.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy playing sports such as tennis, basketball, and any other team sports. When our son is finally put to bed at night, my wife and I usually enjoy our time watching movies and TV shows.
