Justin Weirich, DO
Hi! I am a native of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. I've always known I wanted to do family medicine. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Mary Washington where I majored in Chemistry and played four years of varsity soccer. I then graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
I was drawn to Fort Wayne for a number of reasons. After auditioning at FWMEP, it became very evident that this program had a lot to offer. I loved that the curriculum is geared toward traditional family medicine where doctors not only have an outpatient practice, but a large inpatient and OB role as well. Another big draw was the chance to work unopposed in all rotations at three excellent hospitals in Fort Wayne. The icing on the cake was certainly the people; the residents and faculty are not only fantastic clinicians and teachers, but were welcoming, kind, and easy to work with during my audition and interview process. I'm excited and honored to be a part of the FWMEP family.
Outside of my passion for medicine, I enjoy just about any sport but especially love soccer, golf, tennis and basketball. I also enjoy bow hunting, wood working, and gardening.
