Eric A. Shoemaker, DO
Hi, my name is Eric Shoemaker, and I am a proud Fort Wayne native. I grew up in the great city of Fort Wayne until I went to Butler University in Indianapolis for college. There I majored in Chemistry with a minor in Biology and Spanish. After undergrad, my goal of becoming a physician took me to the University of Pikeville- Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. I spent my first two years down in Kentucky and was able to move back to Fort Wayne for my clinical rotations in my third and fourth year of school.
It is a dream come true to be back and practicing as a new physician in my hometown. I am even more excited to be a part of FWMEP, a program that has always welcomed me and made me feel like I belonged. The opportunities FWMEP provides are incomparable; I am thrilled to be a part of a program where I can explore my interested in obstetrics, procedures, community health, and health education.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my family and friends. I am a huge fan of being in the outdoors, whether that includes hiking, biking, or kayaking, and exploring Fort Wayne.
