Alison Case, MD
Hello! I am excited to be coming back home to Fort Wayne as a part of FWMEP. I am originally from Columbus, OH and went to college at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. After graduating from college I spent time in various settings studying malaria both in the US and abroad. I completed my medical studies at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine through the Rural Physician Program spending my clinical years in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (UP) where I learned the true meaning of winter (and loved it!). Following medical school, I spent one year as a fellow with the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) outside Washington D.C. working on policy and organizing for various grassroots campaigns.
I was looking for a residency program where I could train in unopposed, full-spectrum family medicine, have access to surgical OB experiences, find a friendly resident family, and be close to my own family--FWMEP has fit all those criteria and more!
In my free time, I love anything to do with nature and being outside, organizing for social justice campaigns, knitting, reading, and watching sci-fi. I am an avid Tincaps fan and have a pet axolotl named Dirk and a pet cat named Sal. I'm excited to be with FWMEP in the Midwest close to family and friends!
