Emily Krach, DO
Hello! I am a lifelong Hoosier with an immense level of state pride! I was born in Indianapolis and raised in Fort Wayne. At Saint Mary’s College, I majored in Biology with a Cellular/Molecular concentration and minored in Chemistry and Math. Upon graduating from college, I moved to Indianapolis to study medicine at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. While at Marian, I started my school’s chapter of the Catholic Medical Association and have been an enthusiastic member ever since! During my fourth year of medical school, I completed training at the Pope Paul VI Institute in Omaha, NE to become a Creighton Model NaProTechnology Medical Consultant.
There are many reasons why I chose to come to FWMEP! Two of my mentors graduated from this program, and I aspire to become an excellent physician like them. My audition rotation at Fort Wayne allowed me to meet everyone and see that the program would be a great fit. Some of my interests in medicine include obstetrics, medical ethics, pediatrics, natural family planning, infectious disease, and mental health, and I know that I will be able to develop proficiency in my interests while training here. After residency, I plan on joining an established private practice.
In my free time, I take pleasure in spending time outdoors hiking, canoeing, bird watching, and slalom waterskiing. Traveling, spending time with friends and family, telling my grandpa’s jokes, and reading for my book clubs are other enjoyments of mine. I am a classic rock enthusiast, and I try to attend as many concerts as possible, especially since classic rockers are going extinct. Some of my favorite concerts I’ve gone to include, Aerosmith, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, and the Eagles. Rock on!
