Ian Reed, DO
Hello! My name is Ian Reed, and I grew up in a small town in northwest Indiana called Kentland (population 1800). I attended South Newton High School where I enjoyed participating in sports: football, basketball, baseball, track, and golf. Following high school, I attended Manchester College (currently Manchester University), a small division III liberal arts school in northeast Indiana, where I continued playing football for four years. I graduated summa cum laude from Manchester with a major in Biology-Chemistry and a minor in Psychology. I received my professional degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in northeast Missouri. My third and fourth years of medical school were spent in Peoria, Illinois. I am so excited and proud to be home in Indiana attending the Fort Wayne Medical Education Progra
I married my high school sweetheart, Kayla, before leaving for medical school. She is an amazing wife, friend, and mother. We had our son, Everett, in the summer of 2016. I am thrilled that Fort Wayne will be the place that my family and I call home!
The Fort Wayne Family Medicine Residency was an easy choice for me. Being dually-accredited, it enables me to continue my medical and osteopathic training in a city that I had become so familiar with during my undergraduate days at Manchester. The Fort Wayne Medical Education Program also allows me to train with great doctors in three outstanding hospital systems.
In my free time, my wife and I enjoy going out to the movies and going for long walks with our son. We love spending time with family, and watching our son grow and learn. Personally, I enjoy golfing, card games, and watching NBA games (I am a dedicated Lebron James fan).
