Catherine Gilreath, DO, Associate Program Director
I was raised in the small town of Antwerp, Ohio. My family and I would frequently visit Fort Wayne since it was only 40 minutes from our home. I received my Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Miami University (Love and Honor!) in Oxford, Ohio, in 2006. At that point, I decided I needed out of Ohio and attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York, for medical school. I then returned to Fort Wayne for residency and graduated from Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in 2013 after being a co-curricular chief for two years and receiving special training in concussion management. I practiced for two years in my home county before returning to Fort Wayne to become a full-time faculty member of the program. I currently practice the full scope of family medicine, including obstetrics, and have additional training in osteopathic manipulation including cranial techniques.
I have a wonderful husband who has introduced me to lake life and a son who is on the go all the time. In our free time, we love to travel and spend time with friends and family. We also spend a lot of time at the zoo!
