Prerequisites: Third or Fourth year status; OB/GYN clerkship must be completed
95% Clinical; 5% Lecture

This elective will provide the student experience in prenatal care and observation in the office in both Obstetrics and Gynecology. He or she will assist in management of patients in labor and assist at delivery. Instruction and observation of common gynecologic problems will be a part of this elective and also assisting at gynecologic surgery.

Due to the large number of requests for this rotation and a limited number of available faculty, there will be an occasional month when this rotation will not be available or will be canceled.
