Being prepared to practice medicine involves more than learning how to care for patients. At Fort Wayne, we focus on giving you the tools you will need to run an actual practice. Throughout the three years, lectures are presented on various practice management topics, such as effective billing, office systems, tax law, compliance, and contract negotiations. Two weeks are also spent during the second year exclusively covering these issues. Through hands-on experience, residents also learn to accurately code office and hospital visits. Graduating from Fort Wayne, you will not only feel comfortable with treating patients, but also with running your practice.
