| Welcome to the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program located in Northeastern Indiana. We are home to a Family Medicine Residency which is community-based, unopposed, and dually ACGME/AOA accredited (MD & DO both), providing residency education since 1973. Our residents see patients in our NEW 21,000 square foot Family Medicine Clinic with a full Electronic Medical Record implemented and four dedicated procedure rooms. The local medical community and Fort Wayne’s three tertiary hospitals are committed to providing an excellent teaching and learning environment for our residents through clinical rotations and didactics, resulting in well-prepared graduates. Because residents rotate in all three tertiary hospitals with no competing residents, there is an abundance of pathology, patients, learning opportunities, and procedures. Truly the sky is the limit to your education and only limited further by how much you put into it.

We provide a strong OB program where first year residents average 65 deliveries. You have the option for C-Section training as well as an Advanced OB Certification. Extensive procedural training is also available (endoscopy, colposcopy, treadmill, OB ultrasound, derm, vasectomy, fracture, flex nasopharyngoscopy, etc). We utilize a night float system to decrease the amount of call. Our program gives you the opportunity to tailor your education to fit your future practice.
Fort Wayne is a very affordable and family-friendly city with great cultural, sports, and recreational opportunities. Our city has been named an All American City in 1982, 1998, and again in 2009. Our program provides an excellent salary and benefit package, including a generous housing allowance and health insurance coverage for residents and their families at no cost to the resident.
